The PWA Show: Change Is Good…..

47

Change is the central theme of Episode 47 as Chad & Keila come together for the final time to host The PWA Show. They examine in depth the changes at the top of WWE with Roman Reigns being crowned as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. What does this shift in the creative direction of the company mean for the future? What challengers will step up to face the new champ? What does this mean for the other major players in the WWE main event picture? Changes to WWE Smackdown are also discussed as a new voice for the brand is hired just in time for the big move to the USA Network. Changes at TNA are also on the horizon as the company is on the verge of also crowning a new World Champion to coincide with their move to PopTV. The changes to the Lucha Underground roster for season 2 are also debated as the exciting product readies for a late January return to the El Rey Network. Your hosting duo also goes out with a bang spending a disturbing amount of time analyzing the nominees for next week’s WWE Slammy Awards and all the silliness that usually surrounds that event. As 2015 draws to a close a new chapter will be written concerning the future of this show. We hope that you have enjoyed what we have offered this year on The PWA Show. The record number of website visits and social media interactions  don’t lie. We appreciate your support! So one last time in 2015, sit back and enjoy some great pro wrestling discussion on The PWA Show, YOUR pro wrestling authority!

Kashin In: The Counting Stars with Stardust and Titus O’Neil Edition (11-23-2015)

raw

Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Ka$hin In with Keila Ca$h. Tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw emanated from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Tennessee. A new WWE World Heavyweight Champion was crowned at Survivor Series in Roman Reigns. However, he was the champ for a grand total of five minutes and fifteen seconds because Sheamus cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase during Reigns’ confetti shower. Reigns survived the first Brogue Kick only to get nailed with a second one as The Celtic Warrior was crowned champion for the third time. Triple H had his new guy while Reigns had to regroup and refocus in order to regain the title. This new wrinkle in the Roman Reigns story has polarized some fans because a heel turn seemed to be the solution to make his transition to the top easier to stomach. Will the underdog narrative hook the audience or cause them to change the channel in droves? The answer to that question can be found throughout this blog. Without further ado, let’s dissect tonight’s episode of Raw in no particular order.

The PWA Show: Tournament Turmoil…..

Bracket

Episode 43 of The PWA Show centers around the richest prize in the industry being up for grabs! Chad and Keila discuss the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Tournament at length. Which competitors seemed out of place in the bracket? Who can benefit the most from a strong showing throughout the tourney? Who do they believe will comprise the final 4? Who could be a dark horse winner? Lots of tournament turmoil is talked about this week. Your tag team co-hosting duo also manage to cover some other topics this week including: another memorable character signing a WWE Legends contract, rumors of a TNA return to Spike TV, changes in the coaching ranks at the WWE Performance Center, plus an exciting announcement of a new program coming your way from Team PWA in 2016. Chad also gives a synopsis of an event that he and “Halfpint” attended last weekend. Did our roving reporter come through with some five star coverage or did he again drop the ball only to disappoint all of our listening audience? Chad & Keila discuss his job performance and his possible fate should he not live up to their lofty expectations in the future. This episode is filled with deep thoughts and big laughs so sit back and enjoy the latest edition of The PWA Show, YOUR pro wrestling authority!

The PWA Show: Survivor Series Shakeup…..

ROLLINS

Episode 42 of The PWA Show is chocked full of news! Chad & Keila recap WWE RAW from Denver as things continue to take shape for the upcoming Survivor Series PPV. They also discuss a couple of legends that returned to the WWE family this week, an upcoming ESPN documentary on “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, another accolade for Nikki Bella, one of the top stars from season 1 of Lucha Underground that won’t be returning, GFW crowning their first set of champions at a recent TV taping, and reports of a new wrestling promotion based out of Las Vegas that will be offering full benefits to its contracted talent. The PWA Mailbag segment returns as questions from listeners are answered concerning memorable moments from the Attitude Era, storylines with huge potential that didn’t live up to the hype, and favorite types of matches enjoyed by your co-hosting duo. Chad also gives the lowdown on a big event taking place in Nashville this weekend that both he and “Halfpint” will be attending featuring WWE Hall of Famer, Mick Foley, Mickie James, “Cowboy” James Storm, and many more stars. Chad also makes a few announcements concerning the future of the show and some added content that will be coming down the pike. We hope you enjoy another fun and informative edition of The PWA Show, YOUR pro wrestling authority!

The Mental Ward: I Can’t Fight This Feeling Anymore…..

MW

I first discovered pro wrestling in the mid-1980s. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes doing battle with “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton inside a steel cage is one of my earliest wrestling memories. However, when I saw “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Sting go 60 minutes at the first Clash of the Champions, I was hooked for life. THAT was storytelling. THAT was drama. THAT was pro wrestling. In my youth Hulkamania ran wild. In my high school and college years, The Attitude Era redefined the industry. In my adult years, things just haven’t been the same. A spark is missing. The sport I loved has morphed into something almost unrecognizable at times. Yet, I still watch. I cling to hope that pro wrestling will one day again return to past glory. Webster defines insanity as doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. Ladies and gentlemen, come on in. We’re all friends here. Welcome back to, “The Mental Ward.”

Kashin In: The Bray Wyatt Becomes Zeus Edition (11-2-2015)

RAW

Hello everyone and welcome to another installment of Ka$hin In with Keila Ca$h. Tonight’s episode of Raw emanated from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. After last week’s show, positivity was brimming over like a pot of gold. It seemed as if WWE decided to wake the hell up and give fans a reason to watch their television shows during the fall season. Did the trend continue or did they fall back into their old ways by boring the audience to tears? The answer to that question can be found throughout this blog. Without further ado, let’s dissect tonight’s episode of Raw in no particular order.

Kashin In: The When Opportunity Knocks Edition (10-26-2015)

RAW

Hello everyone and welcome to another installment of Ka$hin In with Keila Ca$h. Tonight’s episode of Raw emanated from the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. A select few can say they have gone to hell and back. That was the theme of last night’s Hell in a Cell PPV. Roman Reigns exorcised his demons by defeating Bray Wyatt. Seth Rollins sent Corporate Kane to the unemployment line. John Cena was sent packing as he lost the United States Championship to Alberto Del Rio in a shocker. Charlotte showed Nikki whose boss by successfully defending her Divas Championship. Kevin Owens dispatched of Ryback to retain his Intercontinental Title. The New Day outsmarted The Dudley Boys to keep the Tag Team Championship. Brock Lesnar conquered The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell as they both bled crimson red. Taker fought valiantly, but he came up short. Then, he was destroyed by The Wyatt Family as they carried him out of the ring to end the PPV on a weird, but interesting note.

Lordy Lordy Look Who’s 40…..

40

Episode 40 of our show comes to you this week with Chad & Keila on top of their collective games! There are some big announcements concerning the show joining forces with a podcast network that will bring The PWA Show to an even wider audience. Our “young boy” AKA Big K The Intern lands a sweet new gig that may be the beginning of a career in pro wrestling. All things WWE are on the agenda this week as Raw is recapped in depth along with other news items leading into our big Hell In A Cell preview. Chad & Keila give their thoughts and predictions on the latest pay per view extravaganza taking place this weekend. The dynamic duo also discuss some TNA news, the Wrestle Kingdom 10 main event set for January 2016 in Tokyo, new NWA World Tag Team Champions being crowned, and some independent wrestling events taking place this weekend around the southeastern United States. As always this episode brings you plenty of news, views, laughs, and thought provoking discussion. Just because we are now officially middle aged, don’t expect us to slow down one bit! Avoid a mid-life crisis with this edition of The PWA Show, YOUR pro wrestling authority!

The PWA Show: Old School Is Cool…..

Horsemen

Chad & Keila come to you with this week with the final episode of their 30s focusing heavily on the current state of the WWE. The duo discuss the recent NXT special and the future stars working on that brand. They also cover in great detail this past week’s RAW. John Cena turns in another solid performance defending the United States Title in front of a Chicago crowd that’s more worried about chanting something snarky than actually enjoying the show. Chad approves of the way Braun Strownman has been presented thus far while Keila gets a little upset at the Chi-town crowd for their chants toward Bray Wyatt. The continued misuse of WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, is a topic yet again this week as he suffered another non-title loss on Monday. WWE’s search for their next big Latino star is also examined. Are they only looking to appeal to the large Hispanic population in response to the lowest TV ratings in almost 20 years? The lackluster build to what should be an important PPV in Hell In A Cell also leaves them scratching their proverbial heads. WWE has loaded up the go home edition of RAW next week so all hope is not quite lost just yet. The PWA Mailbag returns as listener questions are answered. Topics include the debacle that has become the Lana/Rusev/Summer Rae/Dolph Ziggler storyline with Lana announcing via Instagram that her and Rusev are officially engaged. Talk then turns to proper use of social media with Chad praising Kevin Owens for his use of Twitter to further his on screen persona rather than joining his modern counterparts and dancing on the grave of kayfabe. Which legend doesn’t get enough credit as one of the all-time greats? Apparently royalty doesn’t ensure immortality in the world of professional wrestling. Old school territories are also covered as Chad fields a question concerning which regional promotions were the most financially successful back in the day. The 29 year anniversary of the near fatal car crash that ended the career of Magnum TA is also discussed as it relates to a great article found at thepwashow.com this week. It’s a little bit of something old with a helping of something new this week on Episode 39 of The PWA Show, YOUR pro wrestling authority!
