rollins

This week Chad has to go at it alone for most of the show because Keila is on “special assignment”. She does join the show late and the duo then discuss the aftermath of the WWE Royal Rumble. They examine the plight of Daniel Bryan and the fallout from Roman Reign’s victory. They also talk about the suberb Triple Threat WWE World Heavyweight Title match and how that match elevated Seth Rollins to main event status. Chad also conducts a one on one interview with legendary manager and wrestling creative genius, Jim Cornette. The two talk southern wrestling territories and how Jim got his start going from fan in the front row to ringside photographer to on air talent. Jim tells some great stories and drops bits of wisdom along the way from the lost art of logical storytelling in pro wrestling. Jim is one of a dying breed trying to preserve the rich history of professional wrestling. To see  some of his treasures and purchase his full line of books, DVDs, and collectibles, visit www.jimcornette.com. In addition Chad covers all the breaking news from around the world of wrestling. Halfpint also joins the show and debuts his “Halfpint’s Point” segment discussing the run that “Macho Man” Randy Savage had in Nashville before moving on the WWE and iconic status. Episode 169- Kerry Awful Interview

kerry awful

The guys got a chance to talk with the Nashville wrestler “Music City Mutt” a.k.a Kerry Awful. Somewhere along the way Kerry realized that he was more of a dog than human. He even has a master who just happens to be his tag team partner Nick Iggy. There is a whole YouTube storyline about Nick losing his Mutt if you don’t believe me.

He has paid his dues by wrestling many Friday nights for S.A.W. Wrestling and even at the notorious Stadium Inn located in Downtown Nashville. Kerry tells us what it was like to wrestle at the Stadium Inn (it has since closed) and that he and his Team I.O.U. tag team partner Nick Iggy no longer work for S.A.W.
