Old School Spotlight: “Pistol” Pez Whatley

PEZ

In the long storied history of professional wrestling, many spandex clad gladiators have grabbed our attention and captured our imaginations. These colorful characters remain in the deepest recesses of our minds years after their glory days in the ring have passed. The most memorable grapplers from our years of wrestling fandom are often those that we encounter early on in our initial discovery of the mat game. This column will take a look at some of the most bizarre, flamboyant, charismatic, and downright terrifying pro wrestlers of all time.

Glam Slam: Trevor Lee

Hi guys! Welcome back The Glam Slam! Each week I will spotlight the best of the best in the world of independent professional wrestling. Independent wrestling is the lifeblood of the industry. It’s the one remaining place where everything feels “pure”. It is where the dream still lives and the passion and love of the craft fuel each and every competitor. Simply put, it’s the best thing about professional wrestling and my personal favorite part. I hope you share the same feelings as I do and I hope you enjoy this column each week. This week we take a look at “Head Honcho” Trevor Lee.
Trevor Lee Caddell AKA “The Alpha Omega” was born September 30, 1993. He is one of the top young up and coming independent wrestlers in the sport today. He has made a name for himself being regularly seen throughout the southern United States, mostly in the Carolinas. He has captured both the CWF Mid-Atlantic Television Championship and claimed victory in the 2013 CWF Mid-Atlantic Johnny Weaver Memorial Cup. Trevor Lee has wrestled for such promotions as: CWF, EVOVLE, CZW, and PWG.
Although young in his career Lee has created a buzz especially with his matches in PWG. His triple threat match vs. Cedric Alexander and Andrew Everett was amazing! He definitely stands out as a guy to watch on the indy scene. He is super athletic and has tremendous strength with an awesome move set! At only 21 years old, he is already better than many currently signed to WWE or NXT. The sky’s the limit for this talented young superstar!
