The PWA Show: Highway to Hell…..In A Cell

Lesnar

Episode 38 comes to you this week with Chad & Keila excited to see “The Beast” Brock Lesnar back on RAW. The duo examine all the highs and lows from this past Monday Night in Boston. They also discuss recent comments by former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, disparaging both the Susan G. Komen Foundation and professional wrestling as well. Chad also goes into detail about how the WWE has misused The Big Show for the better part of 15 years rendering him useless today. The Divas Revolution is again a hot topic as Keila has some advice for WWE Divas Champion, Charlotte. Chad once again voices his displeasure with John Cena who this time inadvertently cost him an opportunity to hang with “Nature Boy” Ric Flair. Stephanie McMahon’s ego is also discussed and how her on screen character always gets the better of every verbal exchange. The current state of TNA is also examined including a new TNA World Heavyweight Champion being crowned at last weekend’s Bound for Glory PPV. The aftermath of that title switch has been interesting to say the least and confusing at best as the future of the company is still up in the air. The Mental Ward: Turning Heel…..

Hogan

I first discovered pro wrestling in the mid-1980s. “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes doing battle with “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton inside a steel cage is one of my earliest wrestling memories. However, when I saw “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and Sting go 60 minutes at the first Clash of the Champions, I was hooked for life. THAT was storytelling. THAT was drama. THAT was pro wrestling. In my youth Hulkamania ran wild. In my high school and college years, The Attitude Era redefined the industry. In my adult years, things just haven’t been the same. A spark is missing. The sport I loved has morphed into something almost unrecognizable at times. Yet, I still watch. I cling to hope that pro wrestling will one day again return to past glory. Webster defines insanity as doing the same thing over and over again but expecting a different result. Ladies and gentlemen, come on in. We’re all friends here. Welcome back to, “The Mental Ward.”
